Following The Serpent's Lair (Projekt Records, 2000), the critically acclaimed collaboration with award winning recording artist and sonic innovator Steve Roach, NOT WITHOUT RISK is Byron Metcalf's second solo release.

Byron's ability to combine his unique proficiency as a drummer/percussionist with his background as a psychologist and shamanic practitioner has been attracting fans and fellow voyagers worldwide since his 1998 debut release of Helpers, Guides & Allies. Byron's music is being used in a wide spectrum of contexts including experiential shamanism and journey work, various meditation practices, breathwork, trance dance, bodywork and other healing arts.
