The Asylum Intro

When I went to this place, it was my paradise,
Walls were a perfect defense from condemning eyes,
Barred windows protected from any external impact,
It was a fortress created specially for the mentally whacked,

Where you could implement All your most inner desires,
Become a person you ain't, or live with no sadness& ire,
While staying inside the small ward colored in white,
Which did not circumscribe a world in your own mind.

But you were not so special among other patients,
Who wore the same kind o' clothes and facial expressions,
And moreover they also built, each a new universe
Full of magical nonsence, like the one you had in yours.

Since that became clear, things have started to change,
A fortress appeared to be not more than a cage,
Though it still has fulfilled it's first and last task:
Played a role of a shield... Separatin' all others from us!

And it doesn't need any guards or special locks on the door,
Cuz here we are almost "gods", thus no one wants to go off...
Until our dream worlds break down, leavin' nothin’ besides gloom,
So, I'd better wake up right now and forsake the Asylum...
