Pluie/Noir Podcast is a bi-monthly audio-visual episode representing our work as an artist collective. Each episode will feature a one hour collage/mix by one of our producers/djs and a poster triptych by one of our designers.
We interviewed both artists and dropped some questions about their vision:

Pluie/Noir- Who are you, and how are you?
ReBack- Full of emptyness! Reback is a project born from the union of our different musical experiences, aiming at the description of emotional impulses.
We wanted to express a language that is could be universally understandable, without words needed.

Pluie/Noir- Your interest in electronic music goes way beyond house or techno. did that influence you in the creation of this alias?
ReBack- First of all, we're extremely curious. The music world and the electronic music cultur always occupies a primary position in our lives, pushing us to tell our own stories, facets of our lives and our dreams, by using non-verbal poetry.

Pluie/Noir- This is a debut in our podcast series.. having an actual liveact instead of the regular mix/collage. how do you feel about it and how did you guys record it?
ReBack- We came to the conclusion that the most natural way to display our world would be through a liveact, consisting entirely of our own songs composed for the occasion instead of creating a selection of tracks for a mix or a collage.

Pluie/Noir- How do you feel about the collective energy in p/n?
ReBack- The work done by all the people that make up the p/n collective is extraordinary. It links the synergy of great artists that are not standard and are actually multipurpose, and we are proud to be part of it and thankful to all those who created and gathered this collective. We wanted to be part of it since the beginning and we're glad it we took part

Pluie/Noir- What to expect from 2012?
ReBack- Continue to do our job with love and above all, without brakes.

:JRS:

Pluie/Noir- What have you been up to lately?
JRS- Lately i've been a little busy with my Master Degree and everything.. but I recently participated on Exquisite Collective, "Festas de Lisboa'12" (were I designed two Sardines) and I won the "Inaset Challenge 2012", a contest of Graphic Design.

Pluie/Noir- You have a somewhat childish yet refined style in your illustrations. who or what are your main inspirations?
JRS- I wouldn't call it "childish", but done by someone with a highly developed inner child. My work comes from all my emotive background, all the sensations and day-by-day experiences.
I do this thing were I create a perfect world on my head, where everyone, and everything is pure beauty waiting to be worked on.

Pluie/Noir- Interpretations of sound in a triptych can be tricky. this one seemed to fit like a glove. was it the first time you did something like this? how did you feel?
JRS- It was a BIG challenge, I'm not used to this kind of things but i'm always up for big challenges. At the beginning I felt a little lost but when i started to listen to the fabulous podcast it was clear to me. This sensations started to come, and emotive feelings, and I just went with it! I started drawing some images that lead me to the final work. I put the podcast on "repeat" mode so i don't have a break on my creative process.

Pluie/Noir- The illustrations on your portfolio seem to follow a palette of pastel colors, yet this triptych proves you can go for strong edgy colors. was it reback's sound that pushed this?
JRS- Yes, of course. The podcast is amazing, and when I listened it I started to feel and visualize a universe of edgy shapes and strong colors, and somehow an evolution of a race!
