She promised me the earth the stars the sun and the moon.
But you cannot believe this piper when she plays her tune.
She said she wanted to be my friend, my wife and my lover.
But she's such a liar, she gave me nothing, she is just like all the others.

She promised me she would be with me forever, but she left me all alone.
With nothing but a basket of broken promises, her heart is cast in stone.
I thought she was my soul mate, I thought she was forever mine.
But instead she left me for dead my dark and bloody Valentine.

She promised me everything just so she could get me into bed,
And then left me at the alter after we were newly wed,
As soon as she had my love she turned her heart away.
It was another broken promise from a woman that didn’t stay.
