“The Road To Nowhere”

I wake up every morning, drink a coffee and rub the sleep out of my eyes.
I light another cigarette, I told myself I was going to quit, but today again I lied.
I take the same bus, open the same doors, sit at the same chair everyday,
I know that this small town isn't big enough to make me want to stay.
I sit in the same office, look out of the same windows, look at my watch,
My life is a constant replay, a repetitive sequence, of tick tock, tick tock.
My life is going nowhere, everyday is just the same, dull, boring, routine,
it depresses me to think that way, but until now it's all my life has been.
Tomorrow, I say that I am going to quit, get out of this small town for good,
But today is just another pernicious day, in my depressing neighborhood.
