Sid Vicious comes to doorway.
The house and street – they have no name.
He’s wearing coat like always.
Its colour has remained the same.
His eyes reflect the sparks –
A gentleman, so cute and trim,
Comes like a movie-star
And the adventures wait for him.

The doorjamb frames him neatly
As he is standing on the sill
And he announces briefly
That: “There is no more time to kill.”
Revolver in his coat,
The bat is shadowing his eyes.
The weather’s far from cold,
Although it’s autumn there outside.

We now adjourn to garage
With dust and oil-stains on the floor.
I feel a kind of courage
And take my cycle out the door.
The stars begin to fade
When I have turned the headlights on
It feels like passionplay
And then we are already gone.

The faces glimmer softly.
We pass the gardens of this street.
The welkin’s black and lofty
And I can feel the engine beat.
My motor-bike is steady.
No need for signposts ‘cause I see
And know the way already:
It leads us to eternity.
